Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start?

Contact us to set up an exploratory call to discuss your financial organizing challenges or opportunities for collaboration with your advisory team. During a free 30-minute phone consult, we discuss your needs and project goals and determine if our services are a good fit. We schedule an initial onboarding consultation and meet for 1 to 3 hours onsite (or via remote connection).

How do I prepare for our first meeting?

During the exploratory call, we will determine a priority focus for the initial meeting and explain what information or materials will be helpful to have on hand. In our initial meeting we will outline a detailed scope of work, review and sign our service contract and other authorizations needed to support the scope of work. Designated representatives, family members or other advisors are welcome to join.

Are you insured?

Clearing House owner Jackie Kelley holds customized professional liability insurance as a daily money manager, and is required to pass a background check (every two years) to maintain membership in AADMM, the industry professional association.

What does it cost?

After the free 30-minute phone consult, financial organizing, daily money management and project consulting services are billed hourly, prorated in 15-minute increments. Contact us for the current rate. Consultations are scheduled Monday – Friday between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

How often do we meet?

For ongoing financial organizing and daily money management clients, we schedule periodic service appointments (in person, telephone, or virtual) with you or your representatives (weekly, bi-monthly, quarterly or as needed) to manage the agreed upon scope of work.

For scheduled onsite appointments, we require 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule. Please contact us by phone to ensure notification.  Appointments cancelled with less than 48-hour notice will be assessed a 1-hour consultation fee.  Balances must be paid prior to rescheduling.

How do you ensure confidentiality?

We adhere to the AADMM Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and will never disclose client information unless specifically authorized. During our working relationship, client information is secured in our office using industry best practices and at the end of the client relationship, all information is returned to the client.
